Case Study 02 / Flagship
JatraGo ticketing platform
An event ticket management platform designed around discovering Nepali cultural events and booking tickets online — from first wireframe to a working, database-backed product.
Overview
What it is, and why it exists
JatraGo is an event ticketing platform built around Nepali cultural events — festivals, concerts and jatras that are usually promoted informally and are hard to discover or book online. The goal was a single place to browse events, pick seats and get a digital ticket, with an admin side for organisers to manage listings and sales.
I owned the project end to end: user research and flows, wireframes and UI, and the front-end build connected to a PHP/MySQL backend.
The Challenge
Booking flows people actually trust
Ticketing has a lot of moving parts — event discovery, seat selection, payment, and proof of entry — and any friction at any step loses a booking. The challenge was designing a seat-selection and checkout flow simple enough for a first-time user, while giving organisers a dashboard powerful enough to manage real inventory and sales.
Concept
Discovery first, checkout in three steps
The information architecture was built around browsing by event category and date rather than search alone, since many cultural events are discovered, not searched for. Checkout was scoped to three visible steps — seats, details, payment — with a persistent order summary so nothing feels hidden.
Process
Wireframes to UI
Low-fidelity flows tested and refined before moving into high-fidelity screens.
Final Design
Key screens
Applications
Organiser dashboard & devices
The admin experience, and the product shown across desktop and mobile.
Outcome
A working, end-to-end product
JatraGo shipped as a functioning platform covering discovery, booking and organiser management, backed by a real PHP/MySQL database rather than static mockups. It's the project that best represents how I work across the full stack — from wireframe to UI to shipped front-end.
